hello from the states.
i am hoping someone could offer their knowledge on a kemppi welder and help identify what model it is. I will be going to look at purchasing the item and would like to know some history or information on the unit.
From what i can gather in the pictures, it has a water cooled torch. yet i have no clue what model it is. Judging from the faded coloring of the machine, i'd put it no newer than early 1990's. However, Kemppi is not a common machine here in the states.
So i guess is this a good machine? any known problems or drawbacks. Are replacement parts currently available?
Thanks to this site, i have the kemppi website and their operating manuals page. So thank you for that info so far.
As for me, this is my first post and my name is Mike. I am 28 years old and addicted to cars. I work as a porsche/audi mechanic here in the usa. when im not at work, im in my own garage building one of my own cars. Any money i have left after paying bills goes toward car parts or tools. I love forced induction and fabricating parts for it. Up until this point, i have been using a miller tig welder at my friends shop. yet i rather have something in my own garage so i dont have to go over to his place all the time.
Thanks you in advance
Mike
