Hello all, i'm after a bit if advice please. Need to make a copy of part. Its essentially a flat plate with a smaller flat plate welded on top.
The only critical parts are the rectangular holes located in each piece.
Large sheet is 4mm thick, small is 3mm.
I could probably drill and file them, but would prefer a bit more prescision
I've never had any experience with laser or plasma cutting before, not sure if the holes are too small for plasma? And, although i've i've some 'workable' drawings, i i guess the main cost involved is going to be converting my measurements to the machine program?
I was wondering if anyone knew of another diy way of manufacture? I don't have a mill or press.
Also anyones experience of cnc cutting and wether there is anyone recommend in the Northampton area?
I'll stick my initial drawings below for critique too, note i've squared off the parts for ease, i can do the outline profile at home.
