Now that I'm slowly catching up on those jobs/projects which, although little, seem to take up a disproportionate amount of time , I'm hoping to turn my attention to getting to grips properly with the Cut50 plasma cutter. To this end, I have two questions:
a) because of my compromised vision I have little to no 3D facility. I've seen things called "stand offs" which help maintain the ideal gap between plasma tip and work-piece. Has anyone used these successfully or otherwise, and if so, have a link to a source for some to fit the Cut50 machine?
b) with a view to finishing the weather vane [remember the letters a while back....? ] I'd like to have a template for the vane on top, the bit which reacts to wind direction. I've seen examples of work by e.g. @Hood and others, but lack the experience to produce something myself. Any ideas for a source that I could download and use to cut, say a salmon outline?
