That can also depend on the torch I think. If I understand correctly it is the direction of the swirl that dictates which side is straighter, some torches such as my Trafimet can have the swirl ring inserted either way so the direction can change.I posted some time ago, Regarding the direction of cut when cutting circles, If you want the circle centre, cut clockwise, if its the hole you want cut anti-clockwise.
New one to me,i can cut either way on circles and get the same resultI posted some time ago, Regarding the direction of cut when cutting circles, If you want the circle centre, cut clockwise, if its the hole you want cut anti-clockwise.
It is more pronounced on thick material so possibly you don't see it if you are cutting thin stuff. The Trafimet torches seem to be fairly good as even swapping the ring around doesn't make a vast difference but it is there and when I start getting over say 15 or 20mm thick I can see it.New one to me,i can cut either way on circles and get the same result
Its all down to how your holding the torch and how your looking at the cut, right handed say and looking at it from the left you tend to twist it towards you, your eyes tell you its not straight so the hand twists............makes sense???????????????????
Said it 100's of times, you dont get the PERFECT cut free hand
