Only used Pels, Gika and Kingsland, If it is seriously cheap and single phase I would take a chance on it, you’ll get your money back no problem if you go to sell it further down the line (easier if it’s single phase), ironwokers are a bit like lathes and mills, they command higher money if they are well tooled, if you don’t buy it you may regret it...Anybody had any first hand experience of these ? Particularly the P50 model ?
Ive seen one for sale at a good price including the press brake attachment .
I believe they are American made , and look pretty useful on the you tube videos ive seen
I guess thats the million dollar question (no pun intended). Ill have a look to see who supports them in the uk.Is the tooling easy enough to source?

Geka are excellent but more expensive.
For pressbrakes you can’t go wrong with a promecam/amada.
Again tooling is the expensive part.
And none of them are what you’d call particularly reliable.
Seen a few of the promecam/amada on EBAY.
Looking for something that will fold 6mm durbar treads up to around 1500mm wide, brackets around 10mm thick up to around 400mm wide and to fold 3mm steel to make stillage boxes. And for a load of other stuff i havent even thought of yet .
With the CNC plasma ive ordered, and on site shotblasting and powdercoating facilities, we should be able to knock most things out .
Just need the ironworker and pressbrake to complete the set (wish i had the funds to buy new on these , but most people ive spoken too say the older stuff is better (as long as you can still get parts for them)
What do you call a full size pressbrake?
Main reliability problems are caused by the safety guard electrics.
My big edwards split a hydraulic pump, though it was a forty something year old aluminium body dowty pump.
Theres a 200 ton pearson on ebay which ive got the horn for but the dismantling and moving costs from cornwall will be terrifying!
