Hi Guys
Need your expert opinions on: DOES ONE HAVE TO PEEN THE SPOT MIG WELDS after the welds cools down normally
I'll be joining pieces of 18ga. sheet metal, in my restoriation project on my classic car.
I've done electric stick for about 17yrs. But never did any mig welding at all.
I bought a Miller 135 recently, haven't touch it YET.
I read on a welding forum somewhere and they repeatly said; First let the weld cool-down and then PEEN the spot weld to bring the weld back to regular size. Do to the fact that the spot mig welds will shrink and distore the metal.
What's your expertee's on this PEENING SUBJECT
Thanks guys
GOD BLESS YOU ALL
