Hi Malcolm, all,
I have recently started work on my sierra's bodywork and at the moment I am concentrating on the rear arches..
I have tried to follow the same procedure as described on your website but I have found that my pattern arch is an extremely poor fit. Its hard to describe it but if you look at the highlighted part in the picture you will see what I mean hopefully.
Also, do you think I am going about this the right way by overlapping as I want to avoid using too much filler and want to make sure I keep the original flange to the arch as defined as possible.....
your help is much appreciated!!
This last photo you should see where I have gone with the overlap approach but I am unsure wether I have made the right decision! I was thinking of over lapping further up the panel on the flat, then I would'nt have to worry about the flange getting out of shape.. What do you think??
