For me it ticks a few boxes.
It's generator friendly and has a low KVA so should run from the farm 3.5 kva small generator if needs be.. which apparently it will do according to my local welding supplies.. it's very small and light weight and parweld have a good name. Its not expensive. It can be used for scratch start Tig of which i have done a fair of scratch start Tig over the years. I had a parweld xti 160 which was a cracking bit of kit. But i sold it and bought a rtech mig inverter.plus the MMA lead. but it's so heavy and i have the rtech acdc tig again it's a bit weighty and I don't want to drag it over the fsfa hence looking at the xts 142
