Hi,
New to the forum and welding.
I'm looking to buy my first welder and think I've narrowed it down to these two. Volume-wise will not be doing too much however want to learn MIG (General welding) and TIG (thin sheet aluminium car project). Also, have a cast iron fire pit that needs fixing so I guess a little MMA.
Leaning towards the Pardwell as I can use on a 13amp plug offering greater flexibility and cannot foresee myself needing to weld anything thick enough to justify the additional 50 amps the R-Tech offers.
Keen to hear peoples thoughts. Any other good multi-process welders I should consider? Max budget is £1k. My rationale for the budget is based on reading on here that a good machine makes a big difference and also hopefully future-proofs myself.
Thanks
Jez
