I've finally had enough of struggling with the length of the flexible neck on my Parweld PRO9FXL TIG Torch. It's about 4 inches long from the torch trigger to the head itself (1.5 inches longer than the fixed head), and while probably great if you need to weld behind something, I don't have fine enough control of it in use. I've tried bending the neck into a U shape to get the head closer to the switch but again can't get away with it.
I'm wanting to change the head to the shorter fixed version, but haven't managed to find the Parweld PRO9 head as a spare part yet. The Parweld website states that the heads are Weldcraft interchangeable - does anyone know if that's the recognised standard and any WP9 head would therefore be compatible?
This is it next to my old WP17 valved torch for comparison.
