Just a quick post, probably in wrong section...
I've been welding on and off at hobby level for a couple of years now, cars, bikes, homemade machinery and general repairs. I've always used cheap discs for cutting and grinding, I mean you use them like no tomorrow so why pay more for them?
Some of the ones I've used would cut only a couple of metres of sheet steel and need replacing, so I was very reluctant to pay more for them, seemed like a waste....
Bought 50 Parweld discs on a whim not long ago, I've cut quite a few metres of sheet steel, plus some 8mm plate and cut the odd bolt down to size and im still using my first disc from the packet! It is only just starting to loose some diameter, its about 10mm smaller than a brand new one. It cuts quicker and cleaner, and strangely enough, straighter than the previous ones I have used, and I think I would have used 4-5 of the cheap discs by now.
So anyone new to the hobby, grab some decent discs, it will make it much more enjoyable
