Right, more paint questions from me!
I'm thinking about painting my road bike frame in the gulf racing colours.
I've sprayed a few cars and bits and pieces over the years but cars were painted with cellulose.
I've been reading up and I think water based with 2k clear over seems my best option.. I would like it painted in the light blue and orange with thin blue stripe in between. I have the paint codes. I am concerned about the 2k clear as I don't have the air fed mask. I have seen these Grayson and 3m masks advertised and think they would be alright for such a small one off job, but I'd rather not risk it. So I could do the prep spray and mask the base coats and send it out for clear or is there any good safe clear I could use apart from 2k? Any other advice appreciated. I have a small hvlp gravity gun as recommended by several people on this forum and suitable compressor. Also who will sell me water based paint in 250ml quantities in Middlesbrough area?
Thanks, Paul.
