Hi,
Started to learn how to weld with a Mig and having great fun. Dont get a lot of time to play so some of my projects might sit for quite a while till finished. Have already learned that with MIG you need to have the metal nice a clean (so normaly clean it up to bare metal with a flapper disc on an angle grinder), my Question is after welding a clean joint on a project that might not get touched for a few weeks do you do anything to stop surface rust?
My practice so far has been to keep a stock of primer in a spray can and give all the joints a quick spray after cooled.
Regards
Kev
