Hi chaps, hope you are keeping safe at this awful time.
I have an old Sip mig welder , the one that uses gas bottles . I used it alot many years ago with a roll of wire and C02 and also a roll of aluminium and an argon bottle. Wasn't the best ,had lots of trouble with the wire feed but it did the job . I would like to use it again ,but without gas bottles .I bought some 0.9mm wire and 0.9 coppers ends ,but I'm having problems with the liner .Its very difficult to feed the new wire through, this will be because it suitable for only the 0.6mm wire .I did read many years ago you could use curtain wire . I did buy some to try but I now cannot find it .
Is it really possible to convert to a gasless model? and any suggestions what I can use for the liner?
ps
Just done a search and found this interesting bit of info on another post.

Would still like some input from you professionals. thanks
