Oh Dear. I've had a mishap with my welder

So it would appear my welder is now officially broken. I have an IFA smartmig 130. It's never really given me any trouble but now I need to do a repair.

Here's the end of my wire feed below. Crimping the large wire back on is no problem. I can have that done by a friend. (It broke off and appears to have caused all the carnage) Is there anything I can do with it though? Does the piece come out of the middle? When the wire broke off the welding wire fused to the wire feed line and basically melted it and stretched it out.

Should I even take the opportunity to upgrade it or change to a euro torch?

O K Bazzmac saw your thread awhile back, so is that your liner stretched out like that ? I'm trying to understand what I'm looking at , or is that the welding wire curled up like that? the tip goes on that end,,,right?? looks like what we call a difusser,, liner goes in one end and tip goes in the other?????

I got this sorted.

That curled up piece is the liner. I managed to punch that out of the brass part. This is the piece that bolts on the case right in front of the rollers.
The main cable broke off and meant that the liner and wire was shorting out. I re-crimped the end on this and got the wire wedged back in and basically soldered it to the brass. I trimming the wire and liner back so everything is a couple of inches shorter but all working perfectly again.
