Hi there,
I have a mezzanine in my workshop, and under it are 6 flourescent fittings, all ip rated ones with the pc covers. All 1.8m tubes bar one 1.2m on the stairs. They're on one switch at the workshop door and all are daisy chained in 1.5mm t and e from the switch.
Occasionally they all turn on no problem, but most of the time at least one of them doesn't come on, it's never the same one twice, I've swapped tubes (there's no starters to change out) and made sure all connections are good, to no avail. There are a few of them that always work.
What do i need to look at, is it the ballasts?
Are they wired right? I know in domestic lights there is a loop from the board and a live back to the switch for each circuit, these haven't got terminals for that inside, just a lne block.
Cheers,
Dan
