I know it's not welding, but I also 'know' some of you are involved in older cars, and it's you I'm targeting :-)
Yellow Number Plates, with raised letters, where the plate has to be drilled for the pins on the characters to go through.
ISTR that there exists somewhere a set of templates that tell you where to drill the holes for each character. Does anyone recall where these templates might be found?
The situation is a little unusual: I have a plate with holes, and marks on the back that show where the securing clips were touching the plate.
I want to find out what Registration Number was on the plate. I cannot see any marks on the reflective face to give me a clue.
Of course, the manufacturers may have been too clever and have (say) 6 patterns to cover all 36 characters, which will make too many possible options for me to work out a definitive answer.
Oh hang on, no I, no Q, no Zero, so 33 characters only.
Thanks for your time.
