No 10 x13 stainless screws with hex head ?

im replacing some fixings on my car

theyre number 10 x 13mm ( thats 4.8 x13mm) hex head

i can find phillips head but no hex heads in stainless...any ideas please

toolstation do a lot of stainless steel nuts and bolts verry cheap 2 i was suprised go online and browse there catalogue

M5 x 13 socket csk screw should be easy to source....though i gather from the No10 they are self tappers? Self tappers with a hex head isn't something i have come across... why not the phillips?

Do you mean socket hex Steve? Like the type you do up with an allen key? If so RS do them, have a look here.

Does it have a flanged hex head? ....A tek screw?

Otherwise possibly a special type of fixing manufactured specifically for the job.

its a 10mm hex spanner fitment with a 15mm washer that doesnt slide off

dont mind if its flange or non , and i can add my own washers if needed

You probably won't get self tappers, because the type of stainless steel thay use in fixings isn't really hard enough.

Incidentally, if replacing bolts in load bearing aplications, the tensile strength of stainless (generally A2) is less than 8.8 high tensile!

now i need some 15mm washers that are snug fit lol

Going on the larger picture...if the threaded bit is 4.8 the head looks like it could well be around 8 or 10mm.
