53 plate,like wtf are these for?????????????????

And no they're not bump stops,thats further back up the chassis
Do any of you wise chaps know?
As always sod all on the net with any info,strange that they're bolted on not welded/fixed,wasn't mentioned on the MOT fail either,mind you nor was other bits that should have been
If you know Nissans Navara's you know i wont need to explain what the jobs all about

PS,my only wild guess it is they are use for tying/securing the truck for when being transported ie on a flat bed???????

I was thinking lashing eyes too, but if you look at the mounting bolts, winding up a ratchet strap to that would just pull it away from the chassis I reckon.

Only other thing I can think of is that they locate the chassis on the production line while the rolling chassis is being built up, but there'd have to be another pair at the other end of the chassis for that.

They're quite common on lorries.
Serve no purpose if the spring is intact, but should the spring snap near the eye, it'll limit the amount of drop.

I'm guessing there's some construction regulation somewhere that requires them.

We're bang on the button
Lashings use for transporting etc as confirmed by Nissan themselves,and tats the reason why they're bolted on,theres no need for them otherwise,good,as i've now cut them off(rusted)
