hi all.
Just signed up so saying hi. Very new to welding so be gentle, a few months ago I got myself a second hand sealey super 150 in the hope of teaching myself to weld to save myself some money when working on my vw t4. I had a free day today so dug if out of the shed to have a little practice. First problem I had was the wire wasn’t feeding, I took the spool off and firstly checked the wire feed motor was working without any load, all seemed good so I eliminated that it was not the motor, relay or transformer. Next I blew down the sleeve with an air gun to make sure it wasn’t blocked up. Re fed wire but still not consistently feeding, it turns out all it was in the end was a bad tip. Got another for £1 and hey presto, so the cheap welder I bought which apparently was faulty was a cheap fix.
I then started having a practise and playing around with wire speeds and temp settings and this is what I came up with. Please give me your thoughts and any advice as that is the only way I’ll learn. Thanks in advance.
