Hi, firstly excuse my ignorance about the subject of welding. I last welded when I did an engineering apprenticeship some 26 years ago. I covered gas and arc welding and got on pretty well.
I've decided to buy an arc welder to do some mods on a flat trailer I have just bought (box sections etc) and bought a "new" wolf turboweld 160 arc welder off ebay.
I've got the thing home and after getting it out of the packaging I find it has no plug on it and the wires look pretty thick for a normal household plug. The earth wire has an eye connection on it too.
My initial questions are: what type of plug do I put on it (it says single phase on the cable) and what type of rods would be suited to general mild steel box section work.
Once again, excuse my ignorance, and any advise would be appreciated.
