Hi all
I've been lurking around here for a few months now, but thought it was time to say hi. I've been into anything mechanical for years, but there's always been a bit of a mental block when it comes to welders. Usually ive found a way to work around joining metal together, but came up against it on my mower .kjacketed deck was either £200, or welding. I've currently borrowed a dirty pro tools gasless mig, and even on that I'm hooked! Looking around for a welder for myself to get going. My mantra has always been "you don't own it til you've fixed it" so looking to pick up a broken mig and get fixing! I've a background in old pinball machine restoration, so electronics don't faze me too much, though the current is a little more extreme on a welder!
Anyway, I'm looking forward to picking something up and getting going! First project, rocket stove! I've a metal wholesaler 2 miles up the road so should be good to get me going .
Anyway, hopefully someone will read this!
