I have a very ancient SIP Ideal 180 3 phase welder, square top red painted variety, that I've been using with 0.6 wire for years. Need to use 0.8 for a heavy job, and can't figure out how to turn the feed roller round. The old incomplete photocopy manual says "unscrew the feed roll retaining nut, or allen screws". Mine has a plain smooth round "nut" with nothing to grip, and the hole in the centre is just that, a round hole in the centre. I realise it is left hand thread. Even with pair of grips, can't shift it. I've not tried too hard, in case I damage the motor. Any ideas? I also need the large plastic nut for holding the wire spool on, as mine fell apart as I removed it. Can't see any spares support on SIP site for this old machine. Thanks
