you mean the fan cover on the back end ?take the cover off and it will show you the feed conections and how to reverse it by swapping the links if its going the wrong way
no the conection box for the wiring on the side or top of motoryou mean the fan cover on the back end ?
ah reat, thanks kida.no the conection box for the wiring on the side or top of motor
I have no 3ph to try it. The lathe canConnect it up and try it - I’d assume the lathe can run in reverse normally so you wouldn’t damage it by doing so??? if it’s wrong then just change 2 phase wires or reverse the direction on the vfd.
did you say 3 phase ??? or is it single phase and 3 hp
ah didnt know you could run the motors in any direction, something else mew learnedWell when you come to running the motor drop the belts off so the lathe gearbox won’t turn. If it’s correct happy days. If not swap the phases over.
Remove the drive belt or
If labeled correctly
CW would be 123 uvw
CCW would be 213 vuw
just looked on youtube and P easy hey always thought that it would damage a motor. He means under the motor wire connection box. There are usually 6 connections in there, 3 of them have input wiring. Swap any two of those input wires around and the motor will spin the other way
Or even just swap the output wires from the VFD.
It's the first thing that anyone checks when commissioning an industrial motor - say a pump, or fan, or conveyor etc - check that it goes the right way. If it doesn't, they swap two phases anywhere - might be in the panel, might be in the isolator, might be the motor itself (best practice is the motor itself) to change directionjust looked on youtube and P easy hey always thought that it would damage a motor.
