need some help!!!

hi all i was wondering could ya help me.
where can i find girls welding stuff ? everything is toooooo big for me or too heavy lol
am using my hubbys stuff at the minute and its a nightmare well apart from the welding mask he got for me its nice and light and i dont feel as if my neck has dissappeared because of the weight lol
but as for gloves and overalls go there all far too big have had a look about and there doesnt seem to be any smaller sizes
am starting a course on welding wed week and i know all the stuff they supply there is gonna be to big so if anyone could help i would be soooo happy

An agricultural spares place ought to have something to fit you, I've seen small children wearing ovies so they must be available in many sizes.
Regarding ladies' gloves, there was a member asking about them a while back, if I can find the thread I'll point you to it.

Well for the ovvies woz is right! even my six year old daughter has her own that fits perfectly! You really should have a look in an agri shop!

As for the gloves....the leather welding gloves go down to size 9, which is pretty small...so what i used to do is put some workgloves underneath the leather gloves (the ones with the rubber grip on it) those gloves go down to size 6.....
And i really think they will have something suitable for you on the welding course or give you advise on were to get it...you're surely not the first woman who wants to learn welding and definately not the last!

Actually gloves are my bug bear too
I've only got small hands and it's a real pain sometimes, especially stick for some reason, I find myself using tig gloves but that really doesn't work with stick .
Maybe there's an opening for bespoke ovvies too, I look like a penguin (in the ovvies ).
I once asked at our local farmers store and was pointed to the childrens section Length & inside leg spot on but 32" chest?
Got several pairs of Dickies at the mo but the 42" are a push and have to tuck the crotch into the top of my boots
But I digress, there must be someone who makes gloves in smaller sizes?

Don't know if this is any help but I like motorbike gloves, the lighter or "sports" type, not your full fat winter jobs. They give a lot of feel and come in small sizes and can be quite cheap.

For me workwear is practical clothing for my own protection, but mostly it's a cheap way to preserve my only remaining pair of trousers, and to help keep a little warmer in the winter.

Surely practical clothing is available for women? Pink coloured overalls at £60 would surely miss the mark for practicality. Farming suppliers would be the place.
