I’ve just bought myself another NBC Autoweld machine
this time it’s an Autoweld 140
It was bought as non working and as soon as I plugged it in there was a load bang and the house fuse went
After getting the lights back on off came the covers and I quickly found a short in the mains cable
After fixing it and doing some repairs (resoldering some dry joints)
It started to work but it made a load buzzing as if the main transformer was shorting
The short was down to diode set I always thought that when diodes let go that would go open circuit
When disconnected the rectifier from the transformer no more noises
Where can I get big diodes like these?
