May I trouble you all with what is probably a schoolboy question?
I recently bought a new SIP compressor. Its rated 14cfm with 8.4cfm FAD and has a 150 litre reciever with max pressure of 130psi. It seems to run just fine.
I also bought an "ACME" impact wrench which claims to use 4cfm @ 90psi and have a max torque of 425lb/ft. I have 10mm ID air lines.
Trouble is even if I fill the reciever on the compressor and set the regulator to 90 psi or over the wrench still won't even crack the wheel nuts on the car. I even torqued the wheel nuts to 85lb/ft just to make sure they weren't too tight or something daft.
So my question is am I missing something basic or is the wrench even more naff than I thought it would be?
Cheers everyone!
