    I was looking through some of the tooling that came with a friend's ML7 and thought it may be of interest:

    The travelling steady is a design published in the model engineer magazines of the time, and pretty much a copy of the cast iron Myford one.
    Love the fixed steady though, I've not seen one like that.

    The fixed steady is called a cathead. Used for holding items which have an external surface that's either not round or doesn't run true to the bore.
