So, I had a go at welding. yey.
At first I started on an old back box from a car as that was the only spare metal I had laying around. I put down a few beads, playing with my wire speed and power. That went well. They looked OK ish.
My second attempt was using some thick metal. I was joining the two pieces together and it did not go so well. There where 4 seams to weld and below are the pictures.
Picture one went so wrong I tried to lay another weld on top but missed. LOL
Using a Clark 160T on top power (setting 6) and a high feed rate of wire. Something like 8/10 on the dial. using 0.8mm wire.
the metal is about 5mm thick i think.
