My new toy... 2 post ramp

I've just bought a 2 post ramp for my workshop and am in the process of installing it. Ideally I would have liked a single phase machine but this one cropped up locally and was a good price so I snapped it up. Unfortunately it's 3 phase and I'm relatively clueless when it comes to 3 phase. I'm wondering what is the best(cheapest) way to connect this to the electric supply. I have a couple of 3 phase isolator boxes in my unit but they are the opposite side of the room. Would it be possible to fit a socket to one of the existing isolator's and then use an extension lead to connect to the ramp? It would probably need to be about 15 metres in length, is there any limit on extension lead length on 3 phase?

Any 3 phase guru's out there? :-)

3ph is not to be taken lightly especially if you don't know what your doing. Having a shock off single is dodgy but your chances of survival are good ish. Shock off three phase odds are against you.

It's time to get a decent spark in I think especially if the condition of current and second hand lift are unknown.

Yeah, the more I read about this, the more I realise I'm going to need a sparky for this job :-(

There is to many variables to give worthwhile advice. Your idea of socket and extension is fine and once a basic set up is made its very Usefull and future kit can be added with ease

We have quite a few 3Ph machines on sockets and extension works well for us especially for machines we don't use often.
