Hi all,
Time to dip a toe back into the world of welding. I'm pretty tight on space and would like to get a MP machine with decent single phase power that will last me 5 years or more. I've been doing some research (dangerous). My previous MIG was 220A. I was thinking ESAB 235ci or ThermalArc Fabricator 252i. I can't find much info on the 252i and the ESAB has a good reputaion. There is a Miller Multimatic of similar spec but I think it may be US only. The R-tech 250 multiprocess is also looking good and is much cheaper but as I am likely to sell on in 3-5 years I expect I would get a better machine and more resale value from one of the others but happy to discuss.
Anyone recomend anything else - over 220A but also able to go nice and low for the thin stuff. I'm looking for a keenly proced supplier too if anyone can recommend one. Would need to be shipped to me in Jersey, Channel islands so location in the UK is not important.
Appreciate the advice.
Cheers
Keith
