Does anyone have any idea what size motor frame this motor off my milling machine could be?
I've removed it tonight with a view to seeing if i can find a 240v equivalent, the body dimensions are 20.5cm diameter and 23cm length of motor body(excluding shaft)
I've dismantled it down as far as i can but i think i need a large bolt with a coarse thread to wind into the end hole of the clutch plate to pop it off the shaft
hole diameter is 15mm, anyone have a suitable sized bolt lieing around?
right this might be a daft question but could this 3ph motor be rewound to a single phase 240v motor if it was found to be some odd size?
has anyone rewound a motor before, any special equipment required? or is it just a complete no-no pain in the ****?
cheers for any info
