Trying to fit Motion detector light switches as my wife saw me with tools in my hand today
I am feeling my brain is draining all its useful information and i cant get my head round leccy stuff lately.
I have some motion detectors to fit in toilets but only have access to the switch which is a single pole single throw.
I thought i could merely wire a detector in parallel to the existing switch......resulting in the detector actuating and closing the circuit. If i needed the light on beyond the time set i could use the existing switch.
But they dont provide wiring instructions any more. They provide pictures that seem to show a live neutral and a load connected to neutral.
Now that might be what i have got already in place.....but old age really is taking its toll.
Can i just wire the motion detector live and neutral connections in parallel or not?
This is the one i have.
And these are the instructions.
