BOC minimig hose.
Not sure if this was accpeted at the first attempt to post it 'cos I can't find it. so here goes.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello,
First enquiry coming up.
I have a SWP [Butters] 170c mig. I'm a complete newbie, never welded and haven't used it yet . When I was taking advantage of BOC's gas offer I also bought a BOC Minimig Hose reference number BOC3703. It is meant to fit straight from the standard outlet at the regulator to the rear entry 'nipple' or inlet at the welder. The inlet is brass [about 6-7mm] and has a raised flange around the halfway mark. Just 'cos it's harder than my head, I don't believe it's unbreakable so won't force anything. The hose connection looks like a push fit with a 'crimping' type circlip inside. Should I force the thing or is there something else I need to buy. I could try a Heath Robinson connection but thought I should try and use what seems to be the right thing...
Cheers
