Well this is it it’s not been lightly used it’s been used for sometimes 12 hours continuously for 7 days. I think they’re thinking a lot more than what I am for it. They reckon it was 12k new and I said, I think they are £8k new. I’d say it’s 6-10 years old.BOC have it at £8.5k list price.
That probably makes it about £5-6k from a regular dealer.
No idea on the price of a used one.
Ex-industrial 3-phase specialist kit...
Maybe £2-2.5k?
There seem to be plenty of industrial machines that cost £5k/6k/7k new for about £2k/3k second hand.
Although it would depend on the age and condition of it.
If it's more than 3yrs old then the business that bought it originally have probably written the cost off against tax by now so it might not own them anything
I wouldn’t need to run 650 amps. Only 450 odd for a 5/16” carbonIt wants to be cheap enough to take a gamble on!
73 amp supply on 400v... that's a lot of juice
Some, I've got a couple of XMT 456 machines (650 amp) that I use for gouging, linked up for the really heavy-duty stuff. They are quite efficient though, run nearly flat out off 32 amp supplies.@Jim Davey do you run miller kit on your fleets?
It says 3 phase on the data sheet so I'd assume that's per phase as standard... It's 50 KVA so yes, per phaseI reckon that will still be 50-60A
I can’t tell from the manual if the 73A @ 650A is per phase?
oh, in that case I don’t think my supply is rated for that. I’ve got a 60A supply, but I’m not sure if that’s per phase. It says 3 phase on the data sheet so I'd assume that's per phase as standard... It's 50 KVA so yes, per phase
