hello, I just bought one of these welders, mightymig 130XT.
It was cheap on ebay, but looks in good, rusted, condition. I dont have a mask, so havent tested it yet.
Its got 0.6mm wire in it right now, feeds ok but Im guessing its worth a new liner and tips - are they standardised between models/brands?
can I use stainless wire on normal steel? Im guessing there are downsides, stainless being less ductile/weaker..
It came with a small refilable Co2 bottle - the old type. the seller was not sure if places will take it in exchange.
any place in west sussex I can get it refilled? looks in good, condition... no rust.
I read to use gassless wire, one needs to swap the +/- connections over. Can someone explain why, does the arc behave differently with flux wire?
thanks
