It seems that there is a bit of a recurring theme here with wirefeed problems. Complete newbie here so please bear with me.
The machine is new and has had very little use. From day one I have had issues with intermittent wire feed. It would feed smoothly and then stop completely, and then start feeding smoothly again.
I have tried every permutation of setting that I can think off, from spool clutch being both loose enough to fall off and completely tight. Also went through the full spectrum off settings on the tension unit, to no avail.
I thought I had found the solution when I saw that both the drive spindle and grooved drive wheel both had key ways but with no key present. I made a key up to suit but the problem still persists.
Side problems also include not seeming to weld very well at recommend settings, no penetration (probably due to the fact I cant weld). I am welding 1.5mm and thinner steel, so should be able to cope????
Also, gas conversion kit is leaking very badly, but that is an easy fix.
Any ideas?
