Hi Guys,
This is my first post, so bear with me if I'm asking a stupid question.
I'm a hobbyist and I'm having a cheap Stick Welder for more than 10 years and have done one or two projects with that.
Recently there was this offer from a shop where I can buy any tool for 60 months instalments and since I wanted to buy a MIG welder for a couple of years I bought one. It is also a Chinese one, but they specifically mentioned that the internal components (IGBTs and Condensors) are Japanese for the specific model.
Since the offer is expiring within a few days I just checked with few friends in the field and bought the machine without reading a lot about MIG welders. And now I'm having some questions which I cannot find answers anywhere.
As I read, MIG welders are CV (Constant Voltage) machine, so the controls should be Voltage, wire speed and Induction (only in some machines). But the machine I got the controllers are Current, Wire Speed and Induction.
Is there anyone who got a similar kind of machine? Can someone provide me with an explanation on how these controls are working?
Here is a link to a classified ad for the Machine (Please scroll down to the bottom to see English description)
