Looking to upgrade the mig welder for the workshop at home. Currently have a gen1 Sealey Supermig 180 and it’s been a great machine, but I’m looking to upgrade to something with a little more output to reduce the amount of stick welding I do, basically to speed up repairs. Mainly do agricultural repairs so quite a bit of 6mill + stuff which I always felt was asking too much of this machine. It’s been great for sheet metal work repairing tractor cabs and the like though!
I can source a Cros Arc 291 from a local supplier in Ireland for a reasonable price for a 250A machine, with a 2 year parts and labour warranty. However, I’ve seen very few reviews on them. Their stick welders get good reviews, but I’ve seen nothing of their migs, other than people saying they’re very similar to the alpha mig 250 in the US which seems to be a decent machine in the price region I’m looking at. Has anyone on here got any views on them or ever used them?
Thanks in advance,
Brian.
