long short been doing a bit and starting college course sept, the mrs got me a book and one section has me thinking.. it covers transfer modes , dip/spray/pulsed. It states dip transfer takes place between 15-25v 40-200A .. my first Q is the sets iv used and my mates sets are all under 150A ( not sure on the V settings of machines) is it fair to assume the welding they do is dip transfer mode? If this is right the book state for this mode of transfer the contanct tip should protrude 2-8mm out of the nozzle but they are all set inside the nizzle with the usual stick out . have i read it wrong?
