I would like a mains powered die grinder and was looking to buy a Makita GD0600. I like Makita and at around the £100 mark they look like good value.
However I then came across the Metabo GE710 Compact.... For around £20 more than the Makita you get a more powerful motor and, most importantly for me, variable speed. It almost looks too good to be true! Does anybody have experience of one of these machines?
The only potential downside is the short nose as it's the 'compact' model, but then again the shorter overall length could be advantageous in some situations.
If anybody has any thoughts/advice please share, thanks.
