My cast iron tables are brown, and always have been. They're smooth and waxed but have never been that grey colour that I see in shiny adverts.
I'm likely to be selling one of them soonish, and wondered if there was a simple way to make it grey?
I know that just sanding it will work, but thats always seemed brutal, so I've never done as much. I mean I've never cared that they're brown (by brown, I mean grey with a brown tint) but for a shiny sale, I guess grey looks better?
Again, I've always felt that sanding cast tables is a vanity, and am concerned that, whilst doing that will change the colour, it's not actually the best for the tool.
