and the only place i can find one is renting it from boc, im new to owning a welder so i dont have a clue where to look, anyone know of a place i can get one?
cheers

I think you are stuck with BOC, in Millbrook close or Air Products through KG Smith, Forest Road Hartwell, Your only other option is to try to get a co2 cylinder from a pub.
I've just spoken to M Davies Ltd in Daventry and it worked out at approx £180 delivered for a large filled rented 5% mix bottle for 1 year
KG Smith works out at just over £170 picked up again for a year
Weld air supplies in dunstable have a 3 year contract with a full bottle for £115.14 picked up with £24.54 but she said on the phone that they only fill 10litres into the bottles?
I've just got a parweld 171 so the prices are for the bigger refillable bottles but it seems too cheap from weld air supplies for the larger bottle.
Do these prices seem odd to anyone or am i being a bit fick
Son in Law and myself have used Weld Air in Dunstable for over a year now and they give a very good service, also open Saturday morning. Check they have your requirement in stock before travelling, only been caught out once on this.
Had a flier at work today from Air Liquide about a new range of rent free cylinder called "ALBee" this includes a built in regulator. Has anyone else heard about this?
cheers for all the replies guys, but i was rushing about after work to get gas for this morning, medium sized cylinder (which i can barely lift :P) from K G Smith was the only one i could get at that short notice so i unfortunately had to pay the near enough 100 quid rent! but works out less than a tenner a month for the rent, then its 40 for a refill there but im sure somewhere else will do it cheaper. im not really sure how to fit the regulator as ive not had a propepr look really, is there a thread on this?
cheers
