Hi all and thanks for having me.
Very new to welding and have owned a sip migmate (gas only and steal only) for a year or two and used it half a dozen times, I was recently given a CIG transmig 130 twin which does gas or gasless, aluminium and stainless but it has two problems, first a friend says that the liner may be a bit dirty and needs a clean and second it needs gas at almost flatout to get a trouble free weld where the sip needed the gas "just flowing". Have checked the gas line and there appears to be no leaks, its the same wire (clean) and gas bottle and regulator I used on the sip and it seems heaps of gas getting to the tip so its scratch head time and call for help. So in short I was wondering the best way to clean liners and if anyone knows what the gas problem may be?
Sorry its a long one but thankyou all very much.
Cheers from snibs, Coffs Harbour NSW Australia.
PS: polaritys are right and the earth clip is new, I have a electronics background so the electronic side of welders is easy for me , hopefuly that will help someone else one day. Cheers
