They didn't warn to not let it uncoil until point 3.1.6 and by that time I'd already got excited and taken the piece of flux wire out of that tiny retaining hole and let go so now a bird's nest like the below has formed:
when I tried putting it in the machine the wire feed was dreadful it kept catching and not moving because it was all entangled so I gave up and just unloosened it and removed it and now am welding with it off the mig machine and a long flux wire running into the feed.
How do I get out of this mess that I'm in? My welds aren't going great- it would be nice if as many factors outside my welding were good and proper and this stupid setup now just isnt helping me have peace of mind to know what's causing a bad weld the setup, my technique, a bad clamp etc...
