ive not had much experience of hole saws. but basically I have a job on the horizon where a hole saw that is about 8" long would be ideal. im guessing they don't make them really long so contemplated buying one of the correct diameter, chopping it in half and extending it in the middle.
Are they just mild steel with fancy stuff on the teeth or is the whole thing made out of something mega hard.
does that sound feasible? the steel I need to chop through is only about 3mm thick, it just has crap access.
