Well I had a big surprise today. A light bulb I changed last year suddenly started to work today
It looks like the Sun or Moon has descended to Earth!
The bulb puts my new LED battens to shame. 41900 Lumens! I have 10 high bay lights in the warehouse. Most of them had packed up or were very dim. I was going to replace with LEDs. I have worked it out I would need 60 LED twin battens to replace just 10 of the metal halide 400w bulbs.
The metal halide bulbs are also slightly more efficient than LEDs. And a lot cheaper.
So why is everyone going for LED?
