So with my Cemont debacle running in the background I've started
looking around at some alternatives.
I'm seeing some crazy prices on (I think, older) AC/DC tig boxes that
are priced in the 6+k euro range.. yesterday I saw an ESAB ac/dc tig
300amp I think on the shelf, new, for 8,000 euro. They guy had an
old Hitachi something or other similar specs in the back he said he was
"giving away" for 5k!
no coolers, no trolley, no "fancy" accessories -- though they usually
have a digital front end but..
what makes these things so expensive? They just happen to buy them
10 years ago and still have them on the shelf or they have something
special going on?
