    Hi all,
A company I know have ordered a new laser welding machine to weld stainless steel in anything between 0.2mm and 2mm steel. They are primarily a TIG welding company.

Until I find out more info, has anyone any experience with laser welding machines?

Yep. Been to a company in Cambridge that makes them. Awesome bit of kit.

    Very expensive though

I think I'm right in saying that it's what @JLP does for a daytime job for F1 cars so maybe he can shed some light?

Well this has taken a turn for the fascinating! Thank you for getting back to me (and thank you all). I have many questions but I guess my first one would be what software does it use?

Additionally, I’m interested in what pros and cons there are? I see that they are expensive but are there high end and low end ones?
    Thanks again, all.
