I am attempting to restore a Landcruiser HJ47 Troopy with almost no prior experience. I am not getting to carried away basically just want to fix a number of rust holes and give it a new coat of paint.
This is what it looked like when i bought it
This is what it looks like now
This is the gear I have acquired, wish I knew how to use it
These are the main trouble spots
I am currently trying to decide if i need to go back to bare metal, which sounds like a lot of work that i would rather avoid. However I understand the original paint is acrylic enamel which I think means I can't use a lacquer system over the top of this which would limit me to enamel which I have heard is not very durable? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This website has been a great help so far.
Cheers
